Hoda attacks!

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Hi folks,

Will here.  There’s a reason Bets and me are such a good team and that reason starts with i and ends with Phone.  Bets was all over the behind the scenes iPhone prep shots at our photo shoot on Sunday and I took care of the behind the scenes shoot shots!  By which I mean I took a lot of pictures, but I actually only kept this one.  But it’s RAD, right?!

This is our good friend Hoda in wearable art fashions sculpted by Jen Lamastra being shot by Kellie Kane with an entourage of fans and contributors looking on.  Can’t.  Wait.  For the.  FINAL SHOTS!

Weekend Inspiration and Perspiration!

Monday, August 30th, 2010

This weekend, Jen and I finished up the second half of this photo shoot.  I can’t tell you how happy I am, both at how incredible EVERYTHING looked and to have this shoot finished up (not because it was bad or hard or tedious or anything like that, but because my brain is currently spilling over and having this poured out gives me a little sloshing room upstairs).

Here are some behind the scenes shots!

Huzzy "working" it.

We made our models sit on the ground in a parking lot.

That's right... on the ground. In a parking lot. Thanks, girls!

Mohawk Mmmmmm!

Are you joking!? Amazing.

Linda wearing Jen's mini-blind hat

I can’t wait to show you what these girls wore… the recycled fashions Jen made were incredible.  The makeup by Claudine looked wonderful; Kellie Kane, our photographer, was a delight to work with; of course the jewelry by yours truly was stunning, and the models were so patient, generous, bold, and beautiful.  But guess what!  I was so excited down at the beach that I completely forgot to take any shots.

I know.  I’ve let you down.  I’ve let myself down.  See why I need more sloshing room upstairs!??!  Stay tuned for the stunning reveal….

New photo shoot.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

We shot the before half of the new before and after shots for betsy & iya and jen lamastra’s art clothing.  The focus of the shoot is all things re-purposed.  These process shots are from day one of the shoot…and also the previous day where Jen, W and I painted 300 Miller High Life cans matte silver.  Hot.  Stay tuned…

Man, I love my job.

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

Super busy today, but I just want to brag about one thing:

Behance.net front page...oh yeah, baby!

The awesome photographers with whom I’ve worked on various shoots, who did my crazy website idea shoot (and totally stood behind me when I kept going wackier and wilder with the ideas), wrote me this morning to tell me we had been featured on the front page of this awesome site called, the Behance Network:

A free platform for the world's leading creative professionals.

Apparently, it’s a pretty cool deal to be featured, so YAHOOEY!  (It’s fun to watch it all spread).  I’m also super glad that the awesome team behind those wildly hot photos are getting the shoutouts they deserve.  I’ll just reiterate here:

Jen Lamastra of Transform Salon did the amazing hair and also held my hand as I toiled over the perfect wardrobe for the models.

Sabrina Cayne did the sexy make-up.

Enko Photo rocked the amazing shots, just like I had pictured them.

And thank you to all the models who allowed this project to be so darn FUN!

Now I must run back to work–crankin’ crankin’ crankin’.  wait…does that sound bad?
