Hi, friends!!  Dag Nabbit (channeling the grandaddy), I’ve missed you guys!!

I wanted to let you know that we’ll be in the shop this weekend!  We’ve had so many shows this month that I know several shoppers have popped by on Saturday only to find an empty shop.  But…NO MORE…well, at least for this weekend and next.  We’ll be here from noon to at least 4 tomorrow.

The shop is still on the up and up.  We plan on having a grand opening by the end of the summer (shwew!).  Little by little, my friends.  This weekend, we’re planning on finishing the miscellaneous drawer front counter wrap and the sliding door!  My design friends were in town last weekend and we took some huge steps forward.  We’ve been running with this white on white on white theme with rustic wood to offset it all.  Courtney called it Scandinavian.  When she said the words, my heart melted.  Some of my most favorite people in the world live there (or near there).

Come by and see us sweating through it all this weekend, say hello, drink a glass of wine, and shop your little hearts out.

We stayed at the historic Charleston Place hotel, right in the middle of downtown Charleston.  The moment we got in there, we were overjoyed with the decor—-the warmth, the detail, the tradition, mmmmm.  We immediately jumped into photo-shoot mode.  Seriously, for at least 30 minutes, my mama, sis and me took pictures of the gorgeous room and each other in it.

So. much. FUN.

Chocolates on your bed.  Whaa??  Who does that any more???  love.

That moment stood out as one of my faves of the whole trip.  I mean, what’s more fulfilling than being completely goofy with the ones you love most?  So I combined it into my Outfit of the Day.

…but I love it.

This is just the beginning.

With a little help from a genius design team and astonishingly generous husband and friends, the new space is well on its way to being far more than I could have ever built up in my active mind.

The light in this shop almost makes me cry.

My genius W turned the storage room and my heart into a functional, cozy break room.  Eat that, Ikea. (I’m not really sure why I just turned this into some kind of small space war with Ikea, but it just feels right).

Double doors welcome in my dream storage system.

W closed off the workbench with plywood, then we painted it white.  Another killer idea from kelly + olive…more storage, a cleaner look, and my front facing all the windows and  the doors…so many things I’ve always wanted.

Lastly, we had to say goodbye to studio 104.

Dearest 104, you mighty tiny thing you.  You paved the way, oh little one.  I know you’ll do your next owner right.  I am better off because you were in my life.  Thank you for all of it.

Studio 101 is already blowing my mind.  We moved it all, painted everything white (including the old studio), put in a floor and a shipping/computing bar, and even managed to get out orders while we were at it.  Thank you SO much for your help over the last few days, family and friends.  My heart is so full of love and appreciation for you.  I cannot believe how much we accomplished in so little time.   and don’t worry, you’ll gain feeling back in your hands in a few days.

You better believe we’re going to open with a bang.  I hope you’ll all be there.  look out for opening party details in the next few weeks.

hehehe…JK!!  amazing, home botox kits—what the!?  my beautifully plump lips come from a natural chapped and full-on nose blowing state.  Luckily, this one is going fast.  I’m much better today.  by Sunday, I should be back in top form.
