Q: So we know who Betsy is, but who is Iya, anyway?
A: When Betsy was a little girl, she called her big sister Iya. “Ashlyn” was just too much to handle. Ashlyn inspires Betsy with her beauty and poise. Think of iya as a silent partner who whispers secrets to Betsy that balance your favorite jewelry on that beautiful precipice of spunk and grace you crave so cravily.

Q: Do you make all this stuff?
A: All of my ear wires and clasps are hand-formed sterling silver. The focal pieces come from a variety of sources and are almost all vintage or vintage reproduction. When you buy from Betsy & Iya, you’re buying a piece of jewelry that was lovingly birthed in Portland, OR by a real human named Betsy Cross who wants you to look and feel your best in designs she’s personally deemed playful/perpendicular/sophisticated/sexy/saucy.
Q: I have very special skin that turns green when I wear cheap jewelry. What are your ear wires/chains made out of?
A: OMG! ME TOO! All of my ear wires are handmade sterling silver wire. Most of my necklace chain is also sterling silver. Special requests can be made by emailing me.
Q: I saw a really cool piece at a shop the other day, but I don’t see it on your website. Do you still sell that?
A: Most likely, yes. Shoot me an email for the ultimate confirmation.
